Great Glory
Posted On 11/12/2009 22:17:45 by MelissaWiley

I read in an article some months ago about a certain invention in Japan that can turn salt water into fresh drinking water. Once this is completed and released to the public, this should be one of the greatest inventions of our time. Even the most remote villages by the sea shore will have access to an unlimited supply of fresh water; that is if someone decides to donate one to them. In any case, it will really have a huge impact and provide great benefits to mankind.

I want to do something similar. I want to have something to contribute to the welfare of all humanity. I am not an engineer, I do not know enough about machines to create mechanical inventions. I however am a chemist. I know how to manipulate various elements. When I heard about the flooding problems of many countries, I knew what I needed to do. I will develop a chemical solution that can turn contaminated flood water into fresh drinkable water. I am still working on it, but as of now I am using a basic pool chemistry solution as a basis for my project.

Your idea is definately needed.  Good luck with it. ;)

The desalination thing you mentioned has been around for many years.  Navy, commercial cruise ships and some personal yatchs have water purification/desalination making equipment.
