To communicate with a member in either the Instant Messaging or the Chat system the member must be signed into that system

In the case of the Instant Messaging system, this only works for people identified by you as friends.. you must both be online and have the IM system open

In the case of the Chat System  ...  anyone online on the chat system can communicate with anyone else online on the chat system and in the same chat room...  friend or not..

The way to simplify communication with friends without having to write messages back and forth is to open your IM window as soon as you log in and leave it open in the corner of your window...  then your friends can chat when they sign in and open their IM system.

  Just a reminder that all profiles MUST have at least your location and age in them before November 30, 2009.
